Program Overview


Activities are geared toward developing the youth of our state to be the next generation of leaders. All Oklahoma youth, first grade through college, can participate.

Leadership Summit

The AFR Teen and Senior Leadership Summits are held each year at the Heartland Conference Center near Midwest City in central Oklahoma. Each day students attend sessions focusing on leadership, service, teamwork, and cooperative skills. Summit is an event to inspire and motivate youth in agriculture about their opportunities and potential.

 

Junior Session (7th-8th grade): July 19-21, 2024

Teen Session (9th-10th grade): July 21-23, 2024

Senior Session (11th-12th grade): July 24-27, 2024

 

Registration will go live on May 1.

American Farmers & Ranchers (AFR) Cooperative has announced its 2023-2024 AFR Youth Advisory Council. This year’s council members were chosen by popular vote during the organization’s 2023 Senior Leadership Summit, which was held July 26-29.

Oklahoma Youth Top Agriculture Achievement Contest

March 17, 2023

Ten agricultural youth from across Oklahoma have earned top placings in the 2023 American Farmers & Ranchers (AFR) Agricultural Achievement Contest. The contest was conducted in conjunction with the Oklahoma Youth Expo (OYE) in Oklahoma City March 8-17. This year, AFR presented $5,000 in prizes to contestants prior to the Oklahoma Youth Expo Grand Drive March 16.
